In this 8-week class, you’ll learn the Catholic Church’s teaching on canonical and salvation history perspectives on the unity of Scripture seen through the unifying lens of the Covenant relationship between God and His people, which finds its fulfillment in the Church.

More specifically, you’ll learn:
 
  • Salvation history
  • Priority of Gospels
  • Christ as purpose and fulfillment of the Old Testament promises
  • Covenant
  • Main players in Biblical covenant story
  • God’s loving commitment to mankind

Class components include: 

  • Course syllabus
  • Class lectures (one per week with a total of 8 weeks)
  • Weekly assigned readings
  • Discussion questions to reflect on lectures and readings
  • At least two class Live Q&A’s with instructor

About the Instructor:

Spence McSorley is a husband and a father of three children (all boys!) and is originally from Indiana. While completing his senior year at the University of Notre Dame for a Bachelor’s of History degree, he converted to Catholicism and then went on to receive his Masters of Theology.  Mr. McSorley has served in the Diocese of Peoria as an assistant DRE. He served in the Diocese of St. Petersburg as a DRE and then served three years with his wife, Andrea, in the Comboni Missionary of the Heart of Jesus in Malawi, Africa for the Archdiocese of Blantyre. Upon to returning to Florida, he now serves as the DRE for Our Lady of the Angels.
